Finding Items
Access to our General Store is always available by clicking on the “Shopping” tab at the top of our home page or using the “Main” menu on the top right. Once you are there, you can browse or search for items that interest you. By clicking on images or underlined links, you can learn more about a particular item. You can also use our Quick Search by typing in a Book Title or Keyword, an Author’s name, or an ISBN to find items you wish to learn more about.
Adding Items to Your Shopping Basket
If you wish to order an item, click the “Add to Basket” on an item detail page. Remember, there is no committment to purchase ANYTHING until the Final Purchase Approval stage. No personal information is required of you until the Check Out stage, so you can browse the General Store and add items to your Shopping Basket at your pleasure. Each time you add items to your basket, you will be shown the items that are currently in your Shopping Basket. To continue adding more items to your Shopping Basket, click on the back button on your browser or the “Previous Page” or “Continue Shopping” buttons.
Out of Stock Items
If the item is out of stock, an “availability details” link will tell you when that item will be available. If you wish to be informed when that item is available, just fill in the Question/Comment box, your e-mail address, and send us the message. We will then contact you via e-mail when the item in question is available.
Using and Checking Your Shopping Basket’s Contents
At the Shopping Basket or Shopping Cart, you can review the items you have selected, adjust quantities, remove items, continue shopping, or complete your order. To adjust quantities, edit the number in the quantity column and click the appropriate button to update. To remove an item, click the “Remove” button next to that item. To continue shopping, click the “Continue Shopping” button, or to return to the detailed page of last item you added, click the “Previous Page” button. When you are ready to complete your order, click the “Check Out” button.
Checking Out
To order the items in your Shopping Basket, we need to get your shipping and payment information. Follow the online instructions to complete your order.
Sales Tax
You will be charged sales tax only on orders shipped to the state of Washington. Sales tax is charged on the full amount of the order, since shipping and handling are considered part of the order. We use the current sales tax rate for Pullman, Washington, which is considered by law as the “place of sale.”
Shipping and Handling
Shipping and handling charges are added to the total before you complete an order. Inside the U.S. we charge a flat rate based on the amount of the order.
Final Purchase Approval
Check the accuracy of all of your order information and make any needed adjustments. If it is correct, enter your credit card information, including name on card, card number, card type, and expiration date. As options, we ask if you would like an e-mail receipt of your order, or if you would like future e-mails alerting you of new items at pineorchard.com that may interest you. If so (we recommend for you to receive an e-mail confirmation of your order, but it is still up to you), enter your e-mail address and click the “Purchase Now” button. Be patient and wait several seconds. An Order Confirmation should pop up confirming your order has been securely completed.
Canceling an Order
If we haven’t shipped out your order yet, you can cancel your order by contacting us. Normally all orders are filled and shipped within one business day.

If, after proper notification to your credit card provider and in accordance with their reporting procedures and regulations, your bank or credit card company does hold you liable for this $50 as a result of unauthorized use of your credit card, through no fault of your own, of orders completed with a secure server through pineorchard.com, we will cover the entire liability up to the full $50 for you.
