Pine Orchard helps answer land management questions by collecting quality physical and biological data within watersheds, with an emphasis on Pacific Northwest forested areas. Monitoring watershed and stream system conditions over time is important to understanding the impact of human activities on a watershed and its dependent ecosystem.

By studying aspects of land use with stream ecosystem and water quality responses, an attempt can be made to ensure watershed health is maintained or improved with current land use practices. Our field experience in working in remote and rugged territory makes acquiring high quality data in less-than-ideal conditions possible.
