Look at the pictures and try guessing the proverb or saying. The front of each page has a sketched cartoon that acts out a common saying and the answer is on the back of the page. But beware and don't turn the page too early, because "haste makes waste." If you analyze the pictures carefully, you'll be able to guess the answer. The simple sketches have amazingly accurate clues. Coax yourself into saying the answer aloud by describing what is happening in the cartoon. If you don't try guessing, you're missing all the fun.
