An inspirational biography . . . Grace Jones, artist, designer, and interior decorator, notable not so much for what she discovered of color, beauty, and balance as for how she used her talent. Grace was born in the Victorian era of British parents. In childhood, she almost lost herself under pressure to live dutifully and selflessly. She recovered with the help of her adventurous yet wise mother who showed her how to combine creed and creativity. Support came, too, from a man uniquely devoted to her for 65 years.
